The Chichester Bike Project successfully raised £105,907 with 73 investors in 71 days!
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported us via Investment, Donating a bike and Sharing our message. This enabled us to unlock the £50,000 match funding from Co-Operatives UK, basically doubling our total!
The Bike Project is a Charitable Community Benefit Society (CBS). The purpose of a CBS is to serve the broader interests of the community. The Society is owned by the Members who invested in the share offer. Each Member has one vote in the matters of the Society at a General Meeting regardless of how many shares they hold: one-member-one-vote.
We are now recruiting the Board of Directors. Our first Shareholder Meeting is scheduled for 19th September. Once the Board are in place, they will determine the running operations of The Chichester Bike Project, including recruiting the Bike Project Manager and deciding Workshop schedules. During this time workshops at The Bike Project will be paused, as our Pilot Phase funded by Sport England has ended.
